KUWAIT MOTOR TOWN TO HOST EXCITING NEW
KUWAIT TRACK CHALLENGE AT START OF NOVEMBER

• Bumper cash prizes across Pocket Rocket, Sleeper and Outlaw classes

KUWAIT CITY (KUWAIT): Officials in Kuwait have announced an exciting new Kuwait Track Challenge (KTC) that offers generous cash prizes across the three categories and will be staged at Kuwait Motor Town on November 4th-5th.

The racing event is open to all members of the public and anyone who wishes to enter from the nearby GCC area, with race organisers hoping that drivers will attend from neighbouring Saudi Arabia and nearby Jordan, Qatar, the UAE and Oman.

Officials have introduced three categories – Pocket Rocket, Sleeper and Outlaw.

The Pocket Rocket section is open to drivers of cars with tyres below a 245 profile and slicks are prohibited. Drivers of cars with tyres with a profile of less than 285 (no slicks) are eligible for the Sleeper category and Outlaw is open to all tyre sizes, including slicks.

Open cockpit, single-seater and non-street legal registered vehicles are prohibited in each class.

Scrutineering of the competitive vehicles will be carried out at Kuwait Motor Town on November 3rd, before the various qualifying heats in the different categories are staged over the next two days, culminating in a final showdown in each section. Each of the three classes will also receive timed practice sessions before their qualifying heats.

There is a total prize fund of 65,000 KWD ($210,000), which will be distributed equally across the three classes. The winner of each section will win 10,000 KWD ($32,000), with 4,000 for second, 3,000 for third, 2,000 for fourth and 1,000 for fifth. There will also be a team prize of 5,000 ($16,250).

A maximum of 40 vehicles are permitted in each class. Entries cost 500 KWD and close on November 1st at noon and must be made online via the KTC website (www.challengethetrack.com).
