2024 UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship

LOCAL ORGANISERS TO LAY ON A FOOD FESTIVAL, LIVE MUSIC AND A SPECTACULAR FIREWORK DISPLAY DURING 10-DAY RACING BONANZA IN QUY NHON

Monday, March 18: Local officials in Quy Nhon have laid on a bonanza of entertainment to run in tandem with the opening round of the UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship on March 22nd-24th and round two of the UIM F1H2O World Championship on March 29th-31st.

The off-water festivities get underway with an amazing Bình Định culinary festival in Thi Nai Bay, Quy Nhon on March 22nd, which includes a torch relay at Quand Trung museum and live music on the nights of March 22nd and 23rd.

Breakfast, local cuisine and refreshments will be served by local catering services from March 22nd-24th for the duration of the aquabike racing and there will be a buffet party and opening ceremony of ‘Amazing Bình Định Fest 2024’ on the evening of March 22nd. Local Michelin chef Quang Dien will also be present on March 23rd.

There will be talks and discussions about the traditions and culture of the Bình Định province on March 25th-26th and opportunities to visit parts of the region on March 26th-28th with local sports also on show, courtesy of the Cultural and Art Department, for visiting fans, competitors and large numbers of spectators who are expected to attend both Grand Prix over the 10 days.

Local officials will organise a traditional three-day boat racing competition at the nearby Dong Da ecological lake and a cross-country running tournament in Thi Nai Bay on March 28th.

Round two of the 2024 UIM F1H2O World Championship will take centre stage on March 29th-31st.

Competitors, officials and race fans will be treated to a carnival, and an ‘International Music Night’ hosted by national musicians on the evening of March 30th in Thi Nai Bay. Further music, a spectacular firework display and the closing ceremony will round off proceedings after the F1H2O Grand Prix of Bình Định-Vietnam on the evening of March 31st.
