2025 UIM F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
MORNING TIMETABLE ANNOUNCED FOR OPENING ROUND OF UIM F1H2O WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP ON LAKE TOBA
Friday, June 27: H2O Racing has now released the official timetable for the Grand Prix of Indonesia, the opening round of the 2025 UIM F1H2O World Championship, which takes place on spectacular Lake Toba on August 22nd-24th.
To combat any inclement afternoon weather conditions and higher ambient temperatures, the timetable for the third ever Grand Prix of Indonesia has been shifted to the mornings. The race will be centred out of the town of Balige, which will host technical scrutineering and registration formalities on Thursday, August 21st.
It will be an early start for the teams on Friday, August 22nd with the first of the one-hour free practice sessions taking to the water at 07.00hrs (CET +5). This precedes the all-important qualifying session, starting at 10.30hrs, which will determine the starting order for the Grand Prix and the two Sprint races.
Saturday morning’s free practice is also scheduled for 07.00hrs and gives teams a three-hour gap to make any fine tuning or set-up changes before the first of the Sprint races fires into life at 11.10hrs. Sprint race 2 follows at 11.40hrs.
A final warm-up will be permitted on Sunday morning before the official parade lap gets underway at 11.00hrs and the 2025 Grand Prix of Indonesia kickstarts the 2025 UIM F1H2O World Championship season from 11.15hrs.
Thousands of spectators are expected to attend over 10 days of aquabike and powerboating action on the world’s largest volcanic lake. The F1H2O racing follows on from the UIM-ABP World Aquabike Endurance Championship on August 13th-15th and the opening rounds of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Circuit Pro and Parallel Slalom World Championships on August 15th-17th.
