2025 UIM-ABP European Continental Aquabike Championship

STAGE IS SET FOR A BUMPER WEEKEND OF AQUABIKE RACING ACTION AT GYŐR IN HUNGARY

Thursday, July 31: Aquabike Promotion and the Hungarian Jet Sports Federation have announced that a massive field of riders will compete in 14 racing disciplines this weekend at the Grand Prix of Hungary in Győr.

After Thursday’s technical scrutineering and registration formalities, one hundred and fifty four racers will battle it out at the third round of the UIM-ABP Aquabike European Continental Championship, the solitary round of the Ski Junior GP3.2 and GP3.3 and Runabout GP4 Junior World Championships and the final round of the Runabout Veterans GP1 European Championship.

Sixteen racers will compete in the flagship Runabout GP1 category, eight in Ski Ladies GP1, 25  in Ski GP1 and five in Freestyle. The remainder of the massive international field will take part in the Ski GP2, GP3 and GP4, Runabout GP2 and GP4, Runabout Veterans GP1, Runabout Ladies GP4, Runabout GP4 Junior and the Ski GP3.2 and GP3.3 World Championship categories.

A hectic Friday on the water sees all the free practice and qualifying sessions for the 14 race disciplines in the itinerary from 09.00hrs through to around 16.30hrs.

The old quarry lake course in Győrzámoly, near Győr, off Zámoly Beach will then host the opening Motos for the Ski GP3, Runabout GP4 and Ski GP4 categories.

Action will then transfer to Győr and the Danube-Rába confluence in front of the Kossuth Bridge for the evening’s finale with free practice for Freestyle and the opening Freestyle Moto, scheduled for 19.00hrs.

All riders and members of the organisation will then attend the opening ceremony on Radó island in Győr that is surrounded by the Rába River.
