2025 UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Offshore World Championship

AQUABIKE OFFSHORE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TO BE FOUGHT OUT OVER FOUR MOTOS IN PUGLIA

Thursday, July 10: Aquabike Promotion and Hardwave have released details of the stand-alone UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Offshore World Championship that will take place in Italy on September 26th-28th.

The UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Offshore Grand Prix of Puglia will be based out of the coastal town of Torre Dell’Orso and will be fought out over four Motos.

The race weekend gets underway with registration, technical scrutineering, engine testing and a drivers’ briefing on Friday, September 26th. Runabout GP1 and GP2 entrants will be eligible for the weekend’s racing.

Friday’s formalities pave the way for a pair of Motos to run on Saturday, September 27th and Sunday, September 28th.

The opener will run for 35 laps from 10.00hrs on Saturday and features an anti-clockwise course with refuelling possible. Moto 2 uses a clockwise course, runs for 40 laps and fires into life at 15.00hrs.

The two-Moto itinerary is repeated on Sunday with Moto 3 running for 35 laps in an anti-clockwise direction and Moto 4 including 40 laps in a clockwise direction.

Torre Dell’Orso is a tourist destination on the east coast of Puglia in the area known as Salento. It is location around 30km from the Baroque city of Lecce and close to the town of Otranto and Brindisi, the nearest major airport.

It is noted for its clear seas due to the currents of the Otranto channel and has been awarded the European Blue Flag on several occasions for the transparency and cleanliness of the sea.
